Cover Glass's frameless glass only takes up 1" per panel once stacked, allowing for the most unobtrusive glass opening on today's market. In seconds, you will be able to customize your home's aesthetics and functionality by stacking our glass panels on either the left or right, redefining home efficiency and seamlessly blending the inside with the outside.

The multiple functionalities of Cover Glass' frameless glass doors include the ability to create air gaps or open individual glass panels. The natural air
flow created from sliding glass doors makes for a wonderful insulator, and with the ability to individually open each glass panel, you will see your home's electricity bill shrink thanks to retaining your home's temperature.

Each folding glass panel is made using state-of-the-art tempered safety glass, which is 5x stronger than regular glass. Not only will intruders and blunt-force objects not impede the frameless glass, 222 mph of wind will also be stopped in its track. Additionally, our folding glass doors cannot lift from the track as Cover Glass is a top-hung system, and locks are designed from the inside as well.

One of the greatest benefits of our glass door system is the material we use: Low-E (i.e., low-emissivity) glass technology. This improves energy efficiency and reduces energy usage via a glass coating of microscopic layers of metallic oxides. Invisible to the human eye, this glass technology protects your home from unwanted UV rays that can negatively affect your furniture and your health.

FEATURES of folding glass doors

Top Hung System

As a top hung glass manufacturer, our system relies on sturdy tracks or beams concealed in the ceiling in order to support the weight of the door beneath. The effortless gliding motion of our frameless glass makes opening, stacking and closing a breeze.

Since the wheel assembly of a top hung system remains fully enclosed inside the track, gravity sees to it that the mechanism stays clean and dirt-free thanks to its suspended state. Maintenance of a top hung slider is quite straightforward, with the boxed-in design allowing easy access to wheels and bearing sub-assemblies when necessary.

Another benefit to top hung frameless sliding glass doors is the ability to set the tracks into a foundation, completely flush with the floor surface. That means no more tripping over unseen ledges and worrying about cleaning nooks and crannies.

Continuous Glass Doors

With no vertical frames between our frameless glass, you will enjoy a new level of clarity that few homeowners experience in today. We use UV protected translucent polycarbonate channel, which directly interlocks and tightly seals into the next panel.

Flexible Track Design

With a unique specialization in creating custom openings for clients, we're able to install frameless sliding glass doors in a variety of interior and exterior locations. At Cover Glass, the only limitation is your imagination.

Multiple Combinations

Flexibility and functionality are at the forefront of what makes our folding glass doors such a special product. Because each glass panel slides individually, you will have the seamless ability to open the glass system entirely, create air gaps for natural ventilation, open one panel, combine two panels in the center--the choice is yours.

Internal Locking Hardware

Our standard locking hardware is much more robust than what you find in other frameless glass doors.

We use two deadbolts: one at the top and one at the bottom of the first opening panel. Unlike other glass door systems, there are no floating handles, which means that it is virtually impossible to enter from the outside.

We also provide nonstandard options for clients that favor a handle or want key entry access from the exterior. Another choice is a lock on every panel.

You can pick the solution you feel the most comfortable with for security reasons and to match your lifestyle.

Magnetic Stacking

Once the system is opened and stacked, we make sure our panels remain stacked thanks to magnetized technology on each of glass panel. This prevents the frameless glass doors from moving out of place if a strong gust of wind comes, or if anyone happens to walk into them if not paying attention.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION of folding glass doors

The upper and lower profile of our frameless glass system consists of a uniquely designed steering track which suspends from the top-hung position and is gently supported from the lower base. Made with stainless steel fasteners at the top and bottom position, each folding glass panel is fixed into glazing channels, ensuring each piece of frameless glass fits seamlessly and securely.

One of the best advantages of our track system is the ability to match the lower profile with your finished flooring on either side. The lower profile is available in a variety of different colors that can be customized to match your interior design. Additionally, the top profile and side jambs can all be covered as all parts operate inside of the profile.

Once we have a clean opening from you or your contractor, installation of our frameless glass doors is a very simple two-step process. However, we will need any obstruction to be removed before installation begins, which includes having the header and sides both exposed.

And if recessing the bottom track is something you wish to do so that it matches with your finished flooring, we will need the cut into the floor to be provided beforehand (we will work with you and/or your contractor to provide all the necessary details).

The initial stage of the installation consists of weatherproofing the frameless glass, installation of the top and bottom track and the drilling of weep holes or drainpipes (depending on your property requirements). Once complete, we'll then laser measure and reserve the tempered glass from our supplier-base.

Once we acquire the sliding glass doors from our supplier, we will then fit the glass into the tracks and complete the installation process. In terms of installation duration, it takes approx. one working day per 18 feet of track or glass and a total lead time of just under a month fully installed (this may vary depending on a variety of factors including but not limited to pre-existing schedules and customer demand).

We do our own draining at Cover Glass, which is a huge benefit to our customers. This is done in either of two ways: 1.) Drilling weep holes 2.) Installing drain pipes.

For weep holes, we drill individual holes at the base of the track allowing any water that hits the glass to easily disperse.

For drain pipes, we utilize the same lower profile of the track as weep holes and attach connectors to our pipes. If any water hits the frameless glass it will trickle down the system, run into the track and automatically weep away from the panels. The drain pipes will be connected to any landscape or any other drainage systems that you might have to remove the water efficiently and properly.

At Cover Glass, we use special polycarbonate UV protected weatherstrips that completely seal your system and protect your property. When two glass panels come together at the H-Channel, there is an automatic interlocking that occurs, protecting your property from any moisture, wind or air that tries to get through. Additionally, because Cover Glass uses UV protected weatherstrip technology, your system will never become brittle or yellow.
