Benefits of Frameless Glass Doors
It’s hard to enlist all the benefits of sliding glass doors as they are too many. For the sake of brevity, only a few of them are mentioned as under:
-
Light
-
You get loads of sunlight into your home with large glass panes running from the ground to the top of the door. You might not even feel the need to turn on the light during the day, thus saving energy and power. It is a great way to cut your electricity bills short. Besides, your home gets more inviting and welcoming with sliding glass doors.
-
Air
-
Sliding glass doors can make a world of difference in airflow and circulation in your home. Just open the glass door and let fresh air in. Your stuffy rooms need to breathe especially in summer. Air circulation is lacking in homes with a few windows or exhausts so sliding glass doors are an excellent way to let in large surges of air.
As a cherry on the cake,
they also improve the quality and feel of the air. The cooling provided by fresh air coming through the door is extraordinary. Besides, there is an increase in the energy efficiency of your home because Air Conditioner expenditures are cut short in summer. -
Traffic Flow
-
Huge traffic flow is yet another advantage of sliding glass doors. You can move plenty of stuff to and from the house without any obstruction because sliding glass doors are twice the size of regular doors. You continuously need to take things indoors and outdoors whenever you are having a party at home. Sliding glass doors make your get-togethers with family easy and smooth.
Apart from that, they are simple to operate and they can be easily cleaned. They require almost little to no maintenance. Sometimes you need to move large objects like beds, couches, tables or desks, etc, so the large door size allows easy navigation and access.
-
Appearance
-
Sliding glass doors bring a new level of aesthetics and elegance to your home. They are eco-friendly and energy-efficient. Every homeowner needs glass doors to add charm and personality to a home. Since sliding glass doors are a replacement for solid walls, they get rid of small congested feelings and make your room more spacious.
-
Space Maximization
-
Unlike the regular doors, you don’t have to make space around the doorway for sliding glass doors to open. They rather save the space of your home by sliding over each other on the track rather than swinging out. It is also said that frameless glass doors create an optical illusion and the space appears larger than it is.

Features of Sliding Glass Doors
There is no use of a sliding glass door if it doesn’t have the right security features. There should be no way for the intruder to break the glass or push the door off its track. Cover Glass provides advanced security measures to ensure the ultimate peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
The glass door is made durable by aluminum reinforcement. The frames are sturdy and welded. Glass used by Cover Glass is obscure enough to reduce the visibility inside. The locking systems are made by using advanced technology. The security system is further improved by installing heavy-duty screens that are tightly fit into the screen track.
Sliding glass doors make it easy for you to open or close the door because of the effortless sliding motion of our frameless glass. Heavy beams installed in the ceiling support the weight of the door. The top-hung system of sliding glass doors makes the cleaning and maintenance simple. Most of the debris and dirt is averted because of wheel assembly concealed inside the track.
The stracks are installed right into the foundation, thus matching the surface of the floor. There is no chance for accumulation of dirt in nooks and crannies.
There are several options for you to open the door. You can wide open the sliding glass door in summer and ventilate the interior of your home. You can also create air gaps in the glass system if you want a minor rush of air into your home. There is also an option of combining two glass panels in the center.
Whether it’s heavy rain or strong wind, you got nothing to worry about your sliding glass door getting out of the track. The stacking is sturdy enough to keep the glass on track because of the magnetized technology used in each glass panel.
Cover Glass helps you install sliding glass doors anywhere you want, be it your kitchen or some outdoor space. You just have to help us with the location. The rest of the job is ours.

Steps for Installing a Sliding Glass Door
Thankfully, installing a sliding glass door is way easier than it seems. To properly install one, make sure to follow these steps:
Before you start assembling anything, check that your opening is square and plumb. Take the measurements for width at the top and bottom and the height on the left and right.
Start by assembling the framework of the door. The framework consists of two uprights, also known as ‘jams’, a headrail, and a sole rail. There are also covers for the head and sole rails as well as jams.
The sole rail has a very distinct upright that goes on the inside and there’s the track for the wheels to run on.
The sliding pane will be on the outside and the fixed pane on the inside.
Now move on to assembling the frame. Fasten the corners together with the supplied screws into the pre-drilled holes.
Install the door with the lock jam cover on one side and the fixed panel on the other side.
Mark and drill the holes to attach the frame to the wall.
The high rail section of the sole track faces inwards.
You can use weather stripping to fill the gap if the opening is slightly bigger than your frame.
Now drill the holes in the wall and put the plugin.
Install the jam covers. Now install the glass panels. The fixed panel goes in first.
Tilt the door and slide the top section into the inside track.
Attach the two covers one for the headrail and the ridged is for the sole rail.
Next is the sliding panel so that you can rid the wheels into place on the bottom of the door.
Make sure the interlock faces inwards.
Check the distance between the frame and door as you go.
Now correctly install the E-shaped lock bracelet so that its hooked position is facing up.
Lastly, attach the handle with the lock on the inside.
Insert the rubber stopper at the top of the frame.
Drainage is also an important process that needs to be done to keep your sliding doors safe. Cover Glass offers its services by offering drainage in two ways:
Drilling weep holes
Rainwater hitting the glass panels of the sliding glass door needs to be dispersed. Therefore, we drill weep holes at the base of the track.
Installing drain pipes.
Another method of getting rid of unnecessary water is installing drain pipes. It uses the same lower profile of the track that was earlier used in drilling weep holes. The connectors and pipes are linked together and thus water hitting the glass moves down the system. It finally reaches the track and is thus removed from the panels. Homeowners face the problem of water in different locations so make sure you install the drain pipes to a landscape where you want the water to be removed.
Cover Glass delivers a product that is UV-protected and eco-friendly. We realize that the protection of your property is our top priority. An automatic interlocking takes place when two glass panels come together. You don’t have to worry about the discoloration of the system because of the advanced UV protected weatherstrip technology used in the system.
